Boursin Cheese Spread

Boursin cheese is a soft, herb-filled creamy cheese that works as a dip or a spread on bread and crackers. My first taste of Boursin cheese was served as a spread on a rare roast beef sandwich in 1984 at a restaurant in Hartford, Connecticut. I was fan!
Ingredients
  • 1-2 garlic cloves
  • 2 8-ounce packages cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried dill weed
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried marjoram
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Directions
  • Mince the garlic in a food processor, stopping to scrap down the sides.
  • Add the cream cheese, butter and remaining ingredients.
  • Process until smooth, continuing to stop and scrap down the sides.
  • Remove cheese mixer from the food processor into a bowl, cover and refrigerate.
  • The cheese spread may be refrigerated for up to one week.
  • Yields 3 cups.
