Cornell BBQ Sauce

My brother Bill loves everything about Cornell University, even the notorious BBQ sauce famous in upstate New York.

Bill was named after our Great Uncle William Stott and Uncle Carl Anderson. Bill is an avid sportsman, playing football and lacrosse at Cornell University, where he captained both sports. Like our father Larry, he went on to officiate sports, but his love was for lacrosse. A few years after graduating from Cornell, he began working for Stott and Davis as a Salesman and later in years ...He was very good with customers, always trying to keep them happy. During the spring, Bill, my mother, and grandmother would make strawberry preserves and he’d distribute them to his loyal customers! He had married his teenage sweetheart Johanna Smith, August 7, 1972. They had two boys, Anderson born 1982 and Joseph in 1984. Anderson married Rakesh Parbhu in 2015 and have two children, Sai and Evie (2020)

Ingredients
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup oil
  • 1-pint apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tsp. pepper
  • 1 tablespoon poultry seasoning
  • 1 tsp. salt
Directions
  • Beat the egg well.
  • Add the oil to the egg and beat it again.
  • Add the remaining ingredients, mixing well.
  • Pour into a jar with secure When ready to use, shake and lid and refrigerate.
  • When ready to use, shake and baste chicken every 5 minutes. Lightly in the beginning and heavier near the end of cooking time.
  • If used as a marinade, throw the sauce away-do not re-use.
