My Spicy Chili

Description

Serving Suggestions Top with shredded cheese, sliced green onions, sour cream. My nephew, Christos Teis served this chili on top of spaghetti, baked it, and then topped it with the above garnish, making a Cincinnati chili special at Acropolis!

Ingredients
  • 2 lbs. Ground Round

  • 1 lb. Hot Italian Sausage

  • 1 ½ onions

  • 3 celery stalks

  • 2 red peppers

  • 2-3 jalapenos

  • 4 garlic cloves

  • 1 tsp. cinnamon

  • 3-4 (28 oz.) can diced

  • tomatoes in sauce

  • 2 (14oz.) can diced tomatoes with chilis

  • Water

  • Thyme, Oregano and Cumin to taste

  •    Salt and pepper
    
  • Dash Worcestershire sauce

  • Chili Powder to taste

  • 3 (14oz.) cans dark red kidney beans

Directions
  • Sauté the beef and sausage until pink is gone, drain fat.
  • Add the next six ingredients and cook until the onions are transparent
  • Add the two types of canned tomatoes with enough water to cover.
  • Simmer 45 minutes on medium low heat.
  • Add the remaining ingredients to taste, simmering for another 45 minutes.
